Greetings in the name of our Lord!

Rector Search | Holy Trinity Anglican Church

Aside from the mere curious, if you are reading this, our Lord may be nudging you. While becoming Rector of Holy Trinity Anglican Church (Holy Trinity) may ultimately not be His calling on your life, we are grateful you are here and more so, responding to our Lord’s nudging, wherever He will take you.

Holy Trinity began as a prayer group, who ultimately heard the will of our Lord to launch an orthodox Anglican church plant in the Jackson, Mississippi metropolitan area. Originally called the Anglican Mission of Greater Jackson, worship was held in homes until a local Lutheran pastor defied his bishop, allowing use of their building for worship and fellowship on Sunday nights.

Renamed Holy Trinity late in 2004, and seeking a place for Sunday morning worship, we journeyed through storefronts and ultimately an elementary school gymnasium before building a multipurpose building in 2016. During this time, we have grown from 12 to an average Sunday attendance of 121.  More importantly, we have grown spiritually in our Christian faith and walk.  While we don’t know who Holy Trinity’s third Rector will be, our Lord does, and we look forward with great anticipation to walking this journey with you as we seek His will.

On this web page are four primary documents. The Rector Profile describes who we prayerfully believe is called to serve His church called Holy Trinity.  The Parish Profile, along with this website, is our resume to you, outlining significant attributes, thoughts and beliefs, which we hope fosters deep conversation. The Application Form is Holy Trinity’s application but is not a substitute for your resume. We have not included essay questions as they come later in the process. Lastly, we have included the Preparation Standards for Seminaries of the Anglican Church in North America and Approved Anglican Tracks. While we view spiritual formation as paramount, we also believe the elements of Anglican formation and practice are as essential and relevant in historical tradition as they are today and for tomorrow. As this document is referenced in the Rector Profile, it is submitted here.

If you are interested in discussing how our Lord is engaged in your life and the life of Holy Trinity, please follow the instructions found on page four of the Application Form. Once received, the process of review will commence, and the Search Team will respond with further instructions in a timely manner.
